67" Entry level stunt kite ~ large kite at a small price

The Astro, designed by Master Flying Instructor Dodd Gross for New Tech Kites, has been produced to offer the stable feel of a big kite with a small kite price tag.

Similar in size to the Cherry Bomb, but not as radical. Manufactured with durability in mind, the Astro has a tough 6mm fibreglass tube frame that beginners will find very forgiving when the kite hits the ground. Designed with a large 67" wingspan for a slower and more stable performance so that lighting fast reflexes are not a prerequisite to enjoy your first flight.

Everything you need to start flying is included with the Astro. A pair of 80lb braided Dacron flying lines on a winder and flying straps are included with a Nylon kite bag and manual to complete a great value package. Available in two colour options: blue or red.

The Diode, designed by Master Flying Instructor Dodd Gross for New Tech Kites, was produced to be the most advanced entry level sport kite available. Stable and durable, the Diode is predictable and easy for beginners to fly, and when more experienced fliers pick it up they will be amazed with its high level of trickability. The Diode has a lightweight carbon frame, and is an excellent choice for light to moderate winds.

This kite is supplied with high performance Spectra lines, and is the cheapest in the New Tech range to include this high performance line package as standard. Spectra lines have very little stretch, are extremely thin with low weight and drag, and are not normally included with kites at this price level.

The Diode comes with lines, manual and deluxe padded kite bag to complete this excellent value for money package. Available ready to fly in two colours: High Voltage and Electric Blue.

The Desire UL, designed by Master Flying Instructor Dodd Gross for New Tech Kites, was produced for those light wind days when most kites won't get off the ground.

One of Dodd's passions is indoor and light wind flying, which inspired him to design a featherlight kite that will do both without costing a fortune. The desire UL has a wingspan of over seven feet, which provides a large sail area to catch the slightest breeze. This kite features a 0.5 oz Polyester sail on a lightweight carbon frame with APA fittings, and is amazingly robust for an ultralight. Easy to fly with precision in low wind conditions, and ideal for fliers with some previous experience.
