Carbon Tube - Exel Cruise 6mm (5.9/4.0mm)x 1m

Carbon Tube - Exel Cruise 6mm (5.9/4.0mm)x 1m

Value Pack Available!

High quality epoxy resin pultruded Carbon Fibre

Carbon Fibre Tube in a range from 4 to 12mm outsite diameter, larger sizes available on request. Standard lengths 1m and 1.5m Our Carbon Fibre Tube comes in either a pultruded construction, pultruded is a stiff carbon that maintains a degree of flex.

The primary advantage of using carbon tubes for a project, vs. fiberglass or metal, is its high stiffness to weight ratio. Carbon fibre is stiff and very lightweight, making it ideal for rigid frame construction. There is a degree of flexibility to the carbon depending on diameter (small diameter has a lot more flex than large diameter tube)

Pultruded carbon tube, also known as graphite rods or unidirectional carbon fiber tube, are used in many industrial applications and aerospace designs, as well as in hobbies such as RC airplanes and RC sailboats, dual line kites and single line kites, and just about anywhere else you want a stiff, strong rod.

Cutting Carbon - We recommend the easiest and most cost effective way to cut carbon is with a fine tooth junior hacksaw... wrap the carbon with tape, and score the whole circumference with the blade before cutting all the way through. Also wearing eye protection and a dust mask for safety is a good idea!

Ozone - Imp III 4th Generation

Ozone - Imp III 4th Generation

Whatever your age or kiting ambitions, Ozone's Imp range has the perfect power kite to get you started in the most exciting new sport on the planet. Following the tremendous success with the original Imp, Ozone's designers re-worked it to produce three Imp products: the Imp III Classic, the Imp III Trainer and the Imp III Quattro. All the kites in the range have incredible stability, direct handling and fly perfectly across a wide wind window in light or strong winds.

The Imp III Classic is controlled by two flying lines, and is the simplest within the range. Designed as a trainer or recreational kite, it is perfect for anyone to safely learn the basics, before moving on to more powerful kites. Smooth and easy to control, the Imp III is incredibly stable, and delivers quality and performance at an un-matched price. The flying lines are already attached to the kite to help beginners enter the sport without any stress or frustration. Fun and exciting, this kite should come with an addiction warning! Guaranteed fun for any age and ability... during testing the 1.0m achieved an amazing top speed of 137 kph!

For 2009, the Imp range follows the stunning sail layout of the Flows, and De-Power kites. Available in two sizes, the 1.0m is ideal for younger fliers or strong wind conditions, and the larger 1.5m generates increased power, and will be appreciated by all skill levels.

All Ozone kites are manufactured in Ozone's factory in Vietnam and built to the same exacting standards for which their World-class paragliders and technical power kites are world-renowned. Quality and durability are pushed to the highest level with all materials chosen for longevity and performance. We order all Ozone products direct from the factory, which means that prices are kept to the absolute minimum for you.

Includes: kite, 18m x 100kg Dyneema flying lines, wrist straps, stuff sack, manual & sticker

Warning: The larger sizes will pull hard in strong winds. Always read the manual included before use.
